Finally! A brass catcher that doesn’t look like it was cobbled together from wire hangers and aquarium netting in some guy’s basement.
The Brass Wrangler is the best thought-out brass catcher that I have seen for AR-15s. The catch is that your AR-15 must have a hand guard with a top rail and a dust cover. It attaches to the top rail via a plastic arm and is designed to be help open by your AR-15’s dust cover. This set up is much more compact than typical brass catchers.
Brass Wrangler is currently available to crowd fund on RocketHub. The working prototype was made with Kydex and the funding will be used to purchase the necessary molding to make the plastic parts out of more durable injection molded polymer.
I absolutely see the utility of a brass catcher but I have never wanted to fiddle with one since they all seem to be junk. This looks like something that has had some actual thought put into it. Check out the Brass Wrangler on RocketHub.
I think there are some other promising brass catchers on the market, but I haven’t tried any of them yet. They ones that seem best all attach to the picatinny rail.
Check out the “3Bucc”, Caldwell, E&L Manufacturing, and Plastix Revolution Brass Shark. As said, I haven’t tried any of them yet, but they’re on my “to-do list”.
Interesting Idea. He also has good taste in optic mounts. That Aero Precision mount is awesome. Rock solid and light.
