The new SIONICS Patrol Minimalist manages to shave more than 5 ounces off the weight of their already trim Lightweight Carbine. It weighs just 5 pounds, 8.7 ounces which means that if you make the right choices on things like sights, optics, and weapon lights, you should be able to keep the total weight of this carbine to just over 6 pounds.
