Shield is distributor of all sorts of cool stuff based in the UK. Their CQS reflex sight recently came to my attention and it looks to have a lot going for it.
The CQS is a compact reflex style red dot sight. It has a very slick combination of features including durable construction, 1 year battery life with typical use, the common CR2032 battery can be changed without removing the sight from the mount, and a very cool assortment of reticles. The CQS has the typical 4 and 8 MOA dot options but most interestingly there is a 65 MOA ring with 1 MOA dot reticle option.
The shape of the CQS is somewhat reminiscent of the Trijicon RMR due to the similar ways in which the hoods are designed. That twin peak hood shape isn’t just for looks. It is actually designed to transfer shock into the body of the light rather than the lens.
I would prefer to manual brightness adjustment on an optic like this but the very beefy looking construction and available circle/dot reticle is more than enough to get my attention.
Check out the Sheild CQS.
Is anyone in the US Carrying these? They list JP enterprises as a US Distributor, but they’re not listed on their site.
Not currently but Shield is working on it. It sounds like they are able to sell direct.
Hi Russell, we’re working on distribution channels in the USA. Our friends at JP carry the Mini Sight aka JPoint but not the CQS at the moment as they are so busy with the rifle side of their business.
If you would like to contact us, please email info@shieldpsd.com or use the shieldpsd.com website form. Very happy to ship direct from UK.
