DHS Wants You to Arm Yourself with Scissors Not Guns
On January 25th, The Department of Homeland Security, posted a video entitled “Options for Consideration Active Shooter Training Video” on their YouTube Channel. The 1:50 mark of this video contains one of the most striking instances of hypocrisy and backwards logic that I have ever seen. DHS says that you should arm yourself in an attempt to overpower an active shooter as one potential strategy. The video shows an office worker gripping a pair of scissors as a weapon.

The Federal Government believes that you should arm yourself when being attacked but not with an actual efficient tool of self-defense like a firearm (which, by the way, you have a God given, Constitutionally enumerated right to own). They suggest scissors. Let that wash over you for a second. They simultaneously suggest you arm yourself as a last resort against a crazed killer and work to disarm you of the most efficient tools to do so.
Contact your Representatives today. Let them know that you don’t want new gun control legislation, you don’t want compromise, and you won’t settle for scissors.
