Beretta is now threatening to move their manufacturing operations to a different state if Maryland passes new gun control measures. Maryland already has some of the more stringent gun laws in the nation.
I am glad to see companies like Magpul and Beretta taking a stand. We would like to think that these state governments are concerned with the rights of their citizens but these types of moves hit them in the only place they are concerned about – their coffers. How many high profile manufacturers will it take for these ideologues to realize that there are down stream consequences in the form of lost jobs and tax revenue for pandering to their base with ineffective, illegal, and emotionally conceived gun control legislation?
Hey! I support Baretta’s decision to leave Maryland. It is unfortunate but what is a gun manufacturer to do when suddenly under Nazi-Communist rule? I also think all pro-2A residents should leave Maryland.
