SB Tactical – Applications and Advantages of the Pistol Stabilizing Brace

SB Tactical has been increasing the content that can be found on their YouTube channel. One of the new videos is entitled Applications and Advantages of the Pistol Stabilizing Brace and it is a very good summation of the advantages of SB Tactical’s line of braces but also of AR, AK, and other pistols in general.

The First Non-NFA CAA RONI Stabilizer Now Shipping to Distributors and Dealers

Brace all the things!

RONI STAB

From CAA:

Pompano Beach, Fla. (May 2016) – CAA, developers and manufacturers of advanced battle-tested firearms accessories, announce the long awaited release of the NON-NFA RONI®. It features an officially licensed SB Tactical™ Pistol Stabilizing Brace™, and is now shipping to distributors and dealers. The Pistol Stabilizing Brace enhances one-handed firing of the RONI-STAB by attaching to the operator’s forearm.  The RONI-STAB is the first NON-NFA RONI available, meaning less paperwork, no wait and no additional costs.

The Pistol Stabilizing Brace has an adjustable and flexible nylon strap for a custom fit for any user. Although originally designed for wounded combat veterans and others with disabilities that inhibit their ability to securely hold a firearm, the overwhelming acceptance of the Brace within the firearms community has propelled the product to be one of the most sought after PDW pistol accessories on the market. The RONI-STAB is constructed from high quality elasto-polymers to exacting tolerances. It has been designed to fit multiple handgun models. The RONI-STAB for the GLOCK® 17/19 is available now.  The RONI-STAB also has models for Beretta, H&K, SIG SAUER, Springfield😄, and many other brands.

The RONI® platform requires no pistol disassembly at all. Simply drop the pistol in the kit and it locks within seconds.  Many of the features on RONI® are ambidextrous, including the trigger-guard safety, and a super-fast charging handle.   Other features include Picatinny rails for two sighting devices and additional side rails.

The RONI® Stabilizer is available in Black or Tan.  Visit your local dealer and see for yourself!

*The RONI® Pistol Stabilizing Brace™ is intended only to be used as designed as a forearm brace. The addition of a stock and/or forward grip to the RONI-STAB would convert it into a NFA controlled Short Barrel Rifle (SBR) and Any Other Weapon (AOW).

SB Tactical MPX PSB and SBPDW

Remember when I told you to keep an eye on SB Tactical going into NRA Show? I wasn’t kidding. They just announced that the BATFE has approved the designs of their new adjustable Pistol Brace designs for pistol-based PDWs – The MPX PSB (for the Sig MPX) and SBPDW (for the AR pistol).

These adjustable Pistol Braces have everything you have come to expect from PDW style stocks (though they are not stocks). The brace unit slides on rails and a fixed point to place you cheek is provided even when the brace is extended.

From SB Tactical:

SB Tactical™, inventors and manufacturers of the Pistol Stabilizing Brace™, announced today that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), has approved the design of the company’s new adjustable Pistol Stabilizing Brace. The ruling states the adjustable brace design is approved for PDW pistol platforms like the SIG MPX™ pistol. Installation of the brace would not change the classification of a pistol in accordance with GCA provisions. The growth of the PDW pistol category and the latest ATF letter approving the adjustable Pistol Stabilizing Brace design showcases the commitment of SB Tactical to innovate and serve the PDW Pistol Community.

Upon receipt of the favorable ATF Opinion Letter, SB Tactical accelerated the development of two adjustable brace models, the MPX PSB™ and SBPDW™. The company is pleased to announce they will begin shipping these new adjustable brace models this summer.

We are very excited with the ATF’s approval of our new adjustable Pistol Stabilizing Brace design, and understand the overwhelmingly positive implications of the decision,” said Jeff Creamer, Vice President of Business Development, SB Tactical. “SB Tactical’s commitment to emerging technologies and innovation has been the facilitator for the growing PDW pistol category. This Opinion ushers in an exciting time for us and the PDW community; we are proud to introduce the MPX PSB and SBPDW models.

Both the MPX PSB and the SBPDW adjustable Pistol Stabilizing Braces will be displayed at the upcoming NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Louisville, KY. The MPX PSB will be showcased by SIG SAUER, Inc. (Booth 5333) and the SBPDW will be displayed by both Maxim Defense Industries (Booth 3954) and LWRC International LLC (Booth 5547).

Designed solely for the AR pistol platform, the SBPDW weighs in at 18.14 ounces, measures 5.50 inches in length, and has a max width of 2.25 inches. The MPX PSB is designed exclusively for the SIG SAUER® SIG MPX and SIG MCX line of products. The MPX PSB weighs 19.13 ounces, is 8.0 inches in length and has a max width of 2.25 inches.

Keep an Eye on SB Tactical

SB Tactical LogoYou are going to want to keep an eye on SB Tactical, especially at the upcoming NRA Show. They are making some major moves including a new branding, new partnerships, and new products that will continue to push them deeper into the AR-15 pistol PDW market.

SB Tactical (and Sig before them) is basically responsible for the resurgence of the AR-15 pistol. You can expect them to add even more momentum to that market space coming out of the NRA Show especially as it pertains to the AR-15 pistol as a PDW – a concept we have discussed frequently here on JTT. I have been given a sneak peak of what’s coming and it’s exciting.
