These new Mag Cap Enhanced Base Pads were designed by Mike Pannone of CTT-Solutions and produced by TangoDown. They protect the bottom of USGI style magazines from dirt, drops, dents, bending, etc. Their slightly flared shape also makes it easier to remove the magazines from a pouch or carrier.
