The fact that silencers (sound suppressors) are included under the NFA is absolutely ridiculous. They are regulated on the basis of ignorance, purposeful misinformation, and Hollywood shaped perception. These tools that have so long been portrayed as assassin’s tools are no more than safety equipment for the shooter and those around the shooter. There is finally new legislation that recognizes that and seeks to remove silencers from the NFA which would, by default, lower prices.
