Gunstruction hosts some truly epic giveaways from time to time and this latest one might be the best yet. They are called “Build It Win It” giveaways because you use Gunstruction to virtually build the rifle you want based on the given parameters and then you have the chance to win that exact rifle, down to the paint scheme if you so choose!

The current giveaway has just started. Gunstruction Lite, AKA the “Gateway Gunstruction”, is now available in the App Store. This new version of Gunstruction is completely free but it is not as full featured as the paid versions. It is an absolute blast to use and it’s a great way to get your feet wet when you are deciding if you want to lay out the money for the full version.

Gunstruction is now available for iOS devices! I have been playing with the beta release for some time now and it is a lot of fun and very useful.

The iOS app is a lot like the website but the touch interface makes it even easier to move around and build exactly what you want. It may seem like it is just a fun app (and it is fun) but it is actually a powerful tool for planning an AR-15 build. I recently wrote an article about how truly lightweight AR-15 builds take planning and the great thing about Gunstruction is that the weight of each component is included. It is probably the most complete repository or weight data available.
