The latest Ballistic Advantage Barrel of the Week deal has me dreaming of a DMR build. This week’s deal is a 20″ barrel from BA’s Performance Series which is their premium 4150 steel line. All Performance Series barrels feature QPQ finish, FailZero coated barrel extension, and M4 feedramps. The barrel in question has a 1 in 7″ twist and a DMR profile meaning it is nearly straight under the hand guards.

Tease: Ballistic Advantage AR-15 Lower Receivers

We still haven’t seen the full potential of the recent Aero Precision acquisition of Ballistic Advantage but we are about to get a little bit more of a glimpse of it. Ballistic Advantage will be releasing their own lower receivers shortly. This makes perfect sense considering they were acquired by a group with plenty of experience making uppers, lowers, and working as an OEM.

I can’t help but think this is just a preview of things to come. It seems to me that complete firearms can’t be too far behind since we know that they already have the required resources. As an owner of 2 Ballistic Advantage uppers, I hope that also means that they will offer complete upper receivers again soon.

Keep your eye on Ballistic Advantage’s website for interesting news. I expect there will be a lot it in the near future.

Andro Corp Industries Adds SLR Rifleworks Hand Guard Options

Andro Corp Industries (ACI) is known for offering good quality, complete AR-15 upper receiver groups at a very budget friendly price. Many of their upper regularly cost less than $400. Don’t let the prices fool you into think these aren’t quality uppers. They use barrels from Ballistic Advantage and come with various hand guard options in that price range including free float rails.

In addition to their more budget friendly line, ACI has been introducing uppers that have more premium features but are still reasonably priced. Many of these more premium uppers include rails from SLR Rifleworks who is now providing OEM support for ACI. That means you will see more SLR Rifleworks hand guards with ACI branding on uppers going forward.

The availability of reasonably priced uppers with Ballistic Advantage barrels and SLR Rifleworks hand guards is a win for AR-15 shooters. Check out the full line of uppers in various calibers at Andro Corp Industries.
