Alpha One Niner (A19) is set to roll out their latest EDC/travel backpack – the X007 Pathfinder. Interestingly, this pack design actually predates the award-winning Evade series of backpacks and served as a testbed for many of their features.
For those of you who are not aware of this the Pathfinder was actually developed before the Evade 1.5 or the 2.0 for that matter. I used the Pathfinder as a test bed for a number of design ideas and the Evade derived its rear mesh back and shoulder strap system from the Pathfinder.
The Pathfinder is roughly 19.5” H x 12.5” W and has a volume of 25L. It has an X42 outer with 210D ripstop nylon liner.
The images shown in this post are actually a prototype but production is expected to begin next week. There will be some slight changes in the production version including different lining color options and the use of tweave in the laptop sleeve stretch panels.
You can learn a lot more about the dimensions and details on the pre-order page. This initial production run will be very limited, so act fast.
