Gear Sector GSR Free Float Tubes and Rails

Gear Sector’s new GSR Free Float Tubes and Free Float Rails are now available.

Gear Sector GSR Tubes

The GSR Free Float Tube features slick sides and a continuous top rail. It’s hole patterns allows users to attach accessory rail sections. The GSR Free Float Tube is available as a stand-alone rail and it is also the base for the GSR Free Float Rail. The GSR Free Float Rail includes three 6″ rail sections that can be attached by the user to create a quad rail setup.

Both versions are made from 6061-T6 aluminum with a hard anodized finish. They mount with a proprietary steel barrel nut. The rails are relatively lightweight and Gear Sector has listed the weights of both the tube and barrel nut on each product page. Each rail comes with everything necessary to mount it including anti-seize grease, thread locking compound, and the necessary wrench.

The rails will be available in a variety of lengths and Cerakote colors. Currrently, only the 15″ and 13.5″ versions are available. Check out Gear Sector’s website for details.

Dueck Defense RBU

Dueck Defense just introduced the Red Dot Back Up or RBU. The RBU is a red dot mount for handguns that has integrated back up sights. The sights serve to help you find the dot when you present the pistol and as a back up sighting method should the dot sight fail.

The RBU is designed to mount the Trijicon RMR to Glock handguns without modification using the factory rear sight dovetail. The sights are high enough to clear a suppressor. The RBU is machined from steel barstock and nitride processed for corrosion resistance.

Bobro Engineering MRO Mounts

Bobro Engineering has been building anticipation of their upcoming Trijicon MRO mounts via their Facebook page for a few weeks. Today, they released the first images of the base mount which will also serve as the low mount. There will be risers available to create absolute and lower 1/3 cowitness setups.

Sneak Peek: BCM to Release KMR Alpha Rails

Bravo Company Manufacturing’s KMR is revolutionary in how it uses advanced alloys and design to reduce weight. The problem is that they have not been able to keep up with the demand for the KMR due to the short supply of the alloy used in its construction. Their solution will be the introduction of the KMR Alpha – a rail with many of the same great features and relative lightweight but easily available aluminum construction.

The KMR Alpha will be available in 15, 13, 10, 9, and 7″ lengths. Each length weighs only slightly more than the magnesium alloy version of the KMR yet they cost significantly less. The prospect of more easily available and lower cost KMRs is exciting. I suspect that BCM will have a hit on their hands with the introduction of this new version of the KMR.

The new KMR Alphas are already listed on the BCM website but they are currently unavailable. Stay tuned for release information.
