JAVRAN Wingman Messenger Bag

The JAVRAN Wingman Messenger Bag is designed to keep your gear organized and your CCW at hand.

JAVRAN WingmanThis bag has several unique and useful features. The flap cover features a triangular, rip-open pouch for carrying a concealed firearm and a zippered pass through so you can access the contents of the bag without lifting the flap. Under the flap, on the front of the bag, you’ll find a large 10×4 MOLLE field. One side of the bag features a 4×4 MOLLE field while the other features an adjustable closure pouch that can be used as a dump pouch or for water bottles. The rear of the bag features a slim, zipper-closed pocket that is designed to carry documents.

JAVRAN Wingman CCWThe interior of the bag is lined with loop material so you can customize it with patches. It also features a key keeper and a d-ring attachment point.

The bottom of the bag has a full size compression panel that can be used to carry bulky items like tripods, umbrellas, or just a rolled up jacket.

The Wingman has a ton of features but none are more prominent than the typical JAVRAN quality, attention to detail, and unique aesthetic. Like all their products, it is available in a dizzying array of color options from mild to wild.

Mayflower R&C APC Improvement

The Mayflower R&C APC is an already great plate carrier (see the JTT review) that just got a little better. At least some of the latest APCs to leave Mayflower R&C now feature loop material on the lower two rows of PALS webbing on the front flap. This loop material is used to help secure chest rigs and assault panels like those from Mayflower R&C, Haley Strategic Partners, Extreme Gear, and Beez Combat Systems.

The light can be positioned to fall right at your support hand thumb for easy activation.

The LM8 1913 Offset Adaptive Light Mount is completely ambidextrous. It can also be mounted in such at way that the light is cantilevered forward of the end of the rail.

Chinese Smooth Back AK Magazines

AK47 Mag Chinese Flat

While I generally prefer polymer magazines like the Bulgarian Circle 10 and US Palm AK30 for my AK-47s, I still keep a stash of metal mags on hand. Most of my metal magazines are of the Chinese Smooth Back (no rib) variety because I greatly prefer the handling characteristics of these mags. There is no sharp rib on the back to tear your hands over a long day at the range.

These magazines can be hard to find so I like to point them out when I see them. SG Ammo has several of them in stock at a great price.
