Maxpedition JUHL Utility Hook

Maxpedition’s JUHL Utility Hook is designed to attach to 1″ (25mm) webbing. The JUHL (pronounced “jewel”) is small enough to stay mostly out of the way until you need it. Use it to hand gloves or earpro on your MOLLE belt or to attach keys, water bottles, or a cap to your EDC pack. They are made from durable nylon and come in packs of 4 with a $12.99 MSRP.

The JUHL Utility Hook will be available this summer. Check out Maxpedition.com to be notified when they are available.

Maxpedition Bottle PALS

The new Maxpedition Bottle PALS is one of those things that I really don’t need and yet I still want one. Who wouldn’t want a bottle opener that mounts to PALS webbing (or any other 1″ webbing like back pack straps)? Check out the Maxpedition Bottle PALS.

Maxpedition EXCELSA

There is a new titanium frame lock knife option on the market from an unlikely source. Maxpedition has introduced the limited edition EXCELSA knife and it has some very nice features for the price (compared to other Ti frame lock knives).

It features a 6Al4V Titanium alloy handle with frame lock and tip up or tip down, deep carry pocket clip. The drop point blade is flat ground from D2 tool steel and available in two sizes (2.9″ and 3.6″). It has ramped thumb studs and a mechanism that prevents lock bar overtravel.

Patch Collecting: Maxpedition Patches

It makes perfect sense for Maxpedition to start making patches. They have been making bags and pouches with loop fields for affixing patches for years. They sent me a few of their patches to check out.

Maxpedition Glowing Skull Patch

The quality is great. All of their patches are made from PVC and have some of the finest detail that I have seen. Check out the stars on the mini US Flag (2″x1″) and the tiny skulls in the background on the Skull patch to see what I mean!

Maxpedition US Flag Patch Small

I really like that they have a pretty full line of utility patches and flags. They offer medic patches in 2 sizes (2″x2″ and 1″x1″) and multiple format flag patches. So, while Maxpedition does make some patches that are just cool for the sake of being cool, they also have a ton of patches that are actually useful. Check out the entire line of patches at Maxpedition.com.
