Check out this sneak peek at some upcoming Wedge Pouches that Gear Dynamics is developing. The pouches are MOLLE compatible and feature a laser cut, MOLLE compatible surface. The pouch is open top and lined with loop material so that they can be used with a variety of inserts like mag pouches, holsters, sheaths, and more.

Custom gear makers provide a valuable resource to shooters. You’ve heard me say things like that before. It is nice knowing that when you have an idea for a gear item that just doesn’t exist, there are craftsman out there who can make it a reality.
This custom chest rig from Gear Dynamics is a great example. The customer is a competition shooter who wanted to be able to mount pouches at an angle, presumably to enhance the speed at which the contents of those pouches could be accessed. Something like this chest rig could probably be pieced together with a regular chest rig and a handful of adapters but it would never be as sleek as this purpose built, custom piece.
The new Quick Adjust Sling from Gear Dynamics features a slider of their own design that is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a hard anodized finish. The design allows the sling to adjust for length quickly with no loose ends.
This sling is made with mil spec webbing through out, ITW Acetal Triglides at the ends for attaching to most common sling mounts, 1″ steel welded loop for the link point between the two sling halves, and the components are double bar tacked for added strength. These weigh in at just 2.6oz or 74g and are available in 17 different colors.
Gear Dynamics is a Canadian company, so with the conversion rate to USD, this sling comes in at less than $32 at the time of this article.

The new Momentum Chest Rig from Gear Dynamics is now available. The Momentum is a midsize chest rig that supports both stand-alone use or mounting on compatible armor carriers like those from Mayflower R&C, Velocity Systems, and others.
The 1o column by 3 row chest panel is padded for additional comfort and to add structure. The “H” harness is adjustable at the front and back and is also lightly padded through the shoulder straps.
The waist strap and the lateral portions of the shoulder straps are joined to the rig via paracord attachment loops. Gear Dynamics uses this attachment method to allow some additional freedom of movement and flexibility. The paracord is easily replaced in the field with any cordage or it can be entirely replaced with repair buckles.
If you intend to use the Momentum Chest Rig for armor mounting, you can choose to add an optional hook Velcro backing. The backing comes with a “patch” to cover the Velcro when it is not in use.
At first glance, it would be easy to write off the Aggressor Belt from Gear Dynamics as just another load bearing belt with a Cobra buckle. It sounds strange, but I think Gear Dynamics would take that as a sort of compliment because they obviously put a lot of care into making it appear that way. It is when you look a bit closer that you see a detail that really sets this belt apart.
The Aggressor Belt features a mix of HDPE stiffening material and strategically placed padding wrapped up in a Cordura nylon shell. That’s right. In spite of the slick, low profile appearance, there is actually padding in that belt. The padding runs along the edges of the belt which helps prevent the belt from pinching and cutting into the wearer’s sides. Gear Dynamics cleverly tucks the padding into to the spaces along the edges of the belt, between the latitudinal stitches that would exist in a belt like this anyway. This is what gives the belt it’s traditional appearance and trim profile while still providing some additional comfort.
The Aggressor Belt is available in 1.5″ and 2″ widths with 2 different buckle options. It also available in every color of the tactical rainbow. Check out the Gear Dynamics website for more details.
