Griffin Armament Low-Pro RIGID Rails
Griffin Armament has filled out their product line well beyond just suppressors and muzzle devices to include a wide variety of AR accessories and components. Their Low-Pro RIGID Rails are one of their newest offerings.
This rail gets its RIGID moniker from internal ribs that, when coupled with the extruded aluminum construction, provide increased rigidity. It features a full length top rail with MLOK slots along the full length of the 3, 6, 9 o’clock sides. Sling swivel sockets are integrated into the rail on both sides near the upper receiver.
Everything about this rail makes the end user’s life easier in terms of the tools necessary for installation, how complete the rail is out of the box, and the value offered. The lightweight 7075 T6 aluminum barrel nut is designed to be installed with a common AR armorers tool that you probably already have – the CAR stock wrench. The rail also ships with a useful and full-featured armorer’s wrench. Speaking of what ships with the rail… It includes the rail, barrel nut, and hardware but it also includes a full set of Griffin Armament’s Rail SHIELD Panels, the previously mentioned armorer’s wrench, the Griffin Armament Primo Gas Block, and a QD sling swivel! If you are building from scratch, that will save you a ton of cash.

DDI Developing US Made AK Trigger Group
DDI is developing a new US made AK trigger group that they emphasize will be properly heat treated. This could be good news for AK shooters given the potential hardness issues found in the current most common US made trigger group where the hammer can actually deform the bolt carrier tail with repeated use. The trigger group shown below is a prototype and it obviously still needs some polishing. Stay tuned for additional details regarding pricing and availability.
Sionics Weapon Systems Updates
Sionics Weapon Systems is about to change up their line-up with some worthy upgrades. Two of their most popular configurations will receive a rail upgrade. The Patrol III and Patrol III XL (both complete uppers and complete rifles) will be switched to the Centurion Arms CMR M-LOK Rail. In addition, their complete lowers and rifles will come with the TangoDown BG-18 grip. The updated uppers, lowers, and complete rifles will be available soon.
The Prescription for Winning a Knife Fight – Dark Star Gear
There are few Kydex Benders that are more forward-thinking and self-defense oriented than Dark Star Gear.
