Best Look Yet at Griffin Armament’s Low-Pro Rail Kit

Griffin Armament released all their official press today for the Low-Pro Rail Kit. You can see our previous post regarding this rail and read on for new details.

From Griffin Armament:

Griffin AR15 rail kits include rail panels, gas block assemblies, and all tools and hardware needed for a turnkey rail system.

The design objective for the Griffin Low-Pro RIGID™ rails were to provide a slim, ultralight M-LOK rail, with increased rigidity over current similar market options.

“We had been looking at the market for a while and noticed that there were two types of rails essentially.  Rails that were beefy and strong, and rails that were slim and unfortunately weaker.  We wanted to combine the desirable attributes of both category products into one optimal rail system.”, Austin stated, Primary owner and Lead engineer for Griffin. He went on, “The final design resulted in 70% more rigidity than current similar market slim rails.  This is important for those who need to use IR lasers as armed professionals or for hunting.  There are a lot of great options now in IR laser aimer products that have solid mounting and solid bodies and we wanted to make a slim rail that provided industry leading point of aim / point of impact for those aimers.”

Low-Pro RIGID™ rails feature a 7075 aluminum barrel nut which can be installed with the included Griffin Armorers Wrench.  The mounting is done with included shims and flat head cap screws for an ultra-flush and low profile mating to the receiver.  17-4 stainless QD flush cups are included which thread into the barrel nut through holes in the rail.

The kits include the Griffin Primo Gas Block™, a 416R stainless .750” ID gas block which can be set screwed in place and / or pinned.

Additionally, the rail kits include the Griffin RAIL SHIELD™ panels as standard equipment.  This 4 piece kit provides a 4.6” length surface for heat protection and griping.  The user can choose to use the flat bottom panel or angled grip panel for enhanced recoil control.

Warrior Assault Systems Launching New A-TACS iX Pattern

Warrior Assault Systems is now offering the new A-TACS iX pattern across their line of tactical gear.

WAS A-TACS iX - 1

From Chase Tactical:

Warrior Assault Systems has been working closely with A-TACS Camo to launch their new A-TACS iX pattern for the Warrior Assault Systems product line.

Clint Hoover, Business Development at A-TACS Camo had the following statement to make while displays are now in place at Ranger Joe’s and Commandos retail stores in Columbus GA.  We are really excited to get a read on the general public coming though and seeing the new A-TACS iX pattern.  I can tell you that the initial comments from the store employees and management was very positive. Not only the floor managers; the leadership was impressed with the look and products.  It is a big weekend here at Ft Benning with Family days, Infantry & Armor Graduations, Ranger School Graduation and other events. Staff at both stores said they will have thousands if not ten thousand people come thought their doors in a 5 day period.  Tru Spec is really out front with a solid introduction of the TRU uniforms in A-TACS iX; and thanks to many of you, we have some awesome gear finishing the displays out.

Displayed are the Warrior Assault Systems DCS Plate Carrier (above)

You can also see some of the Warrior Assault Systems product line in recent movies, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, London Has Fallen, along with the History Channels new Series SIX.  Companies Interested in carrying the Warrior Assault Systems product line can contact Chase Tactical at Suport@ChaseTactical.com

Crowdfund This: SANS-13 Evolution from Smith & Bradley

The next iteration of the SANS-13 Watch is here. Smith & Bradley has begun a crowdfunding campaign for the SANS-13 Evolution. This new watch boasts a slick new approach to lume and all the premium features you’ve come to expect from S&B.

S&B on their new lume tech:

We have taken our lume tube technology and made it into our Patent Pending Polymer Plates. The entire back plate of our Proprietary sandwich dial is a plate of illumination polymer. We have also made the same plate integrated into the hands of the watch. The second hand has been dipped in to match the illumination. What does this mean? We now can compete directly with tritium. We have a glow that lasts for over 6hrs that has the light output that of tritium. (See below picture of 6hr test) The other advantage we have as well is the user can define if they want it brighter. Our Polymer Plates can be charged with high intense light, i.e. flashlight and it will glow very bright. You choose your brightness; you now have a choice. Natural exposure to ambient light and our Patent Pending Polymer plates compete directly with tritium. Tritium is just one level of brightness. Tritium cannot be charged to make brighter.

Like the original SANS-13, the watch is actually designed to protect itself but the SANS-13 Evolution takes that a step further. The original SANS-13 had a large fence integrated into the case to protect the crown and so does the SANS-13 Evolution. However, the SANS-13 Evolution’s bezel is design to sit entirely inside the footprint of the case which protects it from impact.

Other features and specs:

  • A Ronda Swiss 505 Quartz Movement, 1 Jewel, 45 month battery life
  • Crystal: Sapphire with Anti-Reflective coating.
  • Case: 43MM, 316L Stainless steel Caseback: 316L Stainless steel
  • Bracelet: 24MM, 316L Stainless Steel Screw bar for each link.
  • Crown: 7mm with inner seal
  • Crown tube: Dual O-ring Seal

You can read more about the details that went into the bracelet and other features of the watch at SANS-13 Evolution Kickstarter page.IMG_0067
