New from Magpul: M-LOK GI Sling Swivel

The new M-LOK GI Sling Swivel from Magpul is, as the name implies, M-LOK compatible so you can attach it to any compatible mounting surface like free float rails and MOE Hand Guards. However, it is really going to excel on Magpul’s rifle stocks like the Hunter 700 and X-22 stocks. These would be perfect for those who want to use a shooting sling in conjunction with these stocks.

It bears an obvious resemblance to the GI style swivel loops that everyone removes from their AR-15 gas blocks these days to make room for free float hand guards. These large coated steel loop is the the ideal fixed mounting point for shooting slings that will exert a lot of tension on your sling mount when pulled tight.

Why Not?

Kinetic Concepts Tactical just made a holster that will transport you back to simpler times… Times when your teacher, or Sunday school teacher, or babysitter, or parent gave you dry, fish shaped crackers and not nearly enough water to wash them down in a funny little paper cup.

This holsters features the iconic art of the 90’s era Dixie Cup. There is no good reason not to do such a thing so I applaud it. In fact, I think every holster should be printed with Dixie Cup art.

How Snake Eater Tactical’s New Grid System Works

We now have some additional information on how the new patent pending Grid System from Snake Eater Tactical works. They debuted this system on their SET Plate Carrier and it has generated significant interest since then. The video below shows how the Grid holes are used in conjunction with a paracord and a cord lock to mount pouches.

Additionally, the image below shows how the system be used to stack pouches that are otherwise not made to be stackable. Shock cord is used in this image to allow for the expansion of the Rifle Mag Burro pouches.
