How Snake Eater Tactical’s New Grid System Works

We now have some additional information on how the new patent pending Grid System from Snake Eater Tactical works. They debuted this system on their SET Plate Carrier and it has generated significant interest since then. The video below shows how the Grid holes are used in conjunction with a paracord and a cord lock to mount pouches.

Additionally, the image below shows how the system be used to stack pouches that are otherwise not made to be stackable. Shock cord is used in this image to allow for the expansion of the Rifle Mag Burro pouches.

Coming Soon – Magpul Gen M3 PMAG in MCT

2017 will mark 10 years since the AR-15 magazine gods handed the PMAG down to us from Mount Magpul. In that time, it has gone through several revisions and been offered in a number of different varieties, all of which have consistently proven that “plastic” magazines are here to stay.

Magpul will release the latest version of the venerable polymer AR-15 magazine in the form of the PMAG Gen M3 in MCT (Medium Coyote Tan). The new magazine has all the same features as the Black and Sand Gen M3 magazines but with a new formulation of polymer that gives the MCT color and is just as strong as the Black polymer.

These magazines are already in production and will begin shipping for commercial sales in early 2017.

Arson Machine A-Hole Micro Muzzle Device

Arson Machine’s new muzzle brake doesn’t mind if you call it A-Hole.

The new A-Hole Micro Muzzle Device is a smaller and lighter, single chamber version of their original A-Hole Muzzle Brake. These brakes have holes that are actually shaped like the letter A, as in Arson… Hence the name.

The A-Hole line of brakes are somewhat unique in that they are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a hard anodized coating. This makes them very light in weight (and affordable). While they will not last as long as a steel muzzle device, they have been shown to hold up for 4000+ rounds so it is not as if they are a throw away item.

As with any single chamber brake, the A-Hole Micro Muzzle Device is loud. These are unapologetic brakes that are designed to give a competitive shooter an edge by virtue of their light weight and muzzle control.

Scalarworks LDM 30mm Aimpoint Hack

If you have one of the Aimpoints (or other red dot sights) that require a 30mm ring mount – like the excellent Aimpoint PRO – you are probably bummed that there is no Scalarworks LDM mount for you. Well, I have good news…

The LDM/CompM4 can be used in conjunction with the ring from the Aimpoint QRP2 mount to create a lightweight mount for your 30mm Aimpoint. This combination is only 0.0236″ than the normal height that Scalarworks builds into their mounts which is basically imperceptible (and still within the height ranges of other mounts).

If you have a complete QRP2 mount that came with your Aimpoint, or can find a cheap used one (which is easy considering how many people replace them), and an LDM/CompM4… You have everything you need (including the hardware) to mount a 30mm red dot sight.
