Warrior Poet Society

If you have been following JTT for a while, you will likely recognize John Lovell’s face from his work as a top notch trainer at our partner, Telluric Group. You should also get to know him from his Warrior Poet Society YouTube channel.

His channel is excellent and unique as far as I can tell in its range of topics. The channel covers topics like fitness, shooting, gear, along with training and mindset. It is this mindset component that really makes the channel stand out and this theme is woven throughout. I especially enjoy the character studies (Warrior Poet Profiles) of historical figures like King David.

This channel is worthy of your sub. John is knowledgeable, personable, and prolific so there is always something new to check out. Visit the Warrior Poet Society on YouTube.

Cloud Defensive Light Control System for Streamlight ProTac Rail Lights

Cloud Defense just gave us a little peek behind the curtain. They released this image of a prototype for a new version of their Light Control System for the Streamlight ProTac Rail 1 and 2 tape switches.

You can read our previous post regarding the Light Control System to learn more about but it is essentially a mount that fixes a tape switch to your rail in a way that is easy to activate, trim and well organized, and more durable than tape or hook/loop.

Magpul Releases MOE SL-S Stock

The MOE SL-S Stock is the latest stock in Magpul’s MOE-SL line. It retains the narrow design of the rest of MOE-SL line but adds a more triangular cross-section for an improved check weld and battery storage. You can check it out at Magpul.com.

The video that Magpul produced for this stock is excellent. I mean, they are always excellent, but this one is a step above. It dives into the design and history of the triangular cross-section stocks before sharing the features of their new MOE SL-S. It is well worth just over a minute of your time.

Forward Controls Design ABC/R-AA

Forward Controls Designs has released their newest version of the Augmented Bolt Catch or ABC. It features a dimpled texture to provide texture from All Angles – hence the AA moniker.

Those dimples aren’t just for looks. They not only provide texture but they can also provide tactile clues to the user about where their finger lies on the ABC by their size and shape. The dimples, along with the angles already designed into the ABC, provide the user immediate feedback on which part of the ABC they are touching even if they can’t see it.

You can read more about the ABC/R-AA and its design in our earlier post, long before it went into production. You can also read about it at the Forward Controls Design website.
