Bootleg Inc. started as a sister company to Primary Weapon Systems in 2015. Unlike the PWS long stroke piston design, Bootleg inc. focuses on the Direct Impingement (DI) systems and developing products that cater to the individual user. The main products over the pas years have been the introduction of PicMod™ technology and the Adjustable Suppressed Carrier.  This year we are excited to announce changes to our product line to allow more versatility.

NEW!! Bootleg Inc. PicLok™Handguard

Bootleg Inc. is now offering our Handguards in a new PicLok™ design. The rails come integrated with the MLOK accessory attachments, but at the front of the rail they will contain both picatinny and MLok. This allows the end user to use multiple accessory attachments and allows you to be able to continue using your favorite attachment methods. The PicLok™ design will be available in 7”, 9.2”, 13.4”, and 15” lengths, and will continue to be mounted with Bravo Companies KMR Mounting Hardware.

NEW!! Bootleg Inc. Full Auto Rated Adjustable Bolt Carrier Group

Bootleg Inc. has also made changes to one of its flagship products. The Adjustable Bolt Carrier is getting a huge upgrade! The Adjustable Bolt Carrier is now Full Auto Rated, and we will be shipping this as a complete carrier group. No need to worry about purchasing a bolt completion kit, because the new carrier will ship 100% ready to rock.  The carrier will also have forward assist serrations for use with compatible upper receivers.  The adjustable BCG will come with the standard 4 setting gas adjustment to tailor to your individual needs; so whether suppressed or unsuppressed this new upgraded carrier will fit perfectly into your collection.

Beez Combat System Retro-Kit Cummerbund GRID

The new Retro-Kit Cummerbund GRID from Beez Combat Systems (BCS) allows you to convert earlier BCS plate carriers (and many others) to a full featured cummerbund complete with FirstSpear Tubes closure system. As the name implies, this cummerbund makes use of BCS’ laser cut GRID material to create a lightweight, low profile, fully MOLLE compatible surface. It will also be available in a version with sewn on PALS webbing.

It supports both hard side armor and soft armor:

Cloud Defensive Optimized Weapon Light (OWL)

It is hard to beat a well placed pressure pad for activating a weapon light when it comes to ergonomics and ease of use. However, some shooters just don’t want to deal with the wires that come with them. Cloud Defensive (CD) started with a product that made the wires easy to deal with… Now they are doing away with them completely.

The CD OWL is a proprietary weapon light with plenty of fresh ideas baked in. The OWL features an integral offset mount that also serves as a platform for the tape switch-esque pressure pad activation switch. This gives the shooter tape-switch style activation without the wires.

The light also features a quick attach/detach system for the heads and tailcaps. This allows the OWL to be completely ambidextrous, mission configurable, and able to upgraded as LED emitter technology advances. There will be heads available that are optimized for a wider spill beam and heads available with a tighter hotspot to optimize throw. Eventually, there may also be IR heads for use with night vision equipment.

The OWL is currently being tested for output but it is estimated to be putting around 1400-1600 lumens out the front. The switch provides both momentary and constant on functionality. The tail cap also serves as an installation tool and to remove the lens for replacement if necessary.

The OWL is user-programable with multiple modes of operation:

  • Full power, all the time (momentary and constant-on)
  • Full power for momentary, 60% for constant-on. Roughly 960 lumens at 60%
  • 60% power all the time (momentary and constant-on)

CDM Gear MTR Fits New Mossberg 590M

Mossberg is introducing their magazine fed 590M at the SHOT Show and CDM Gear already has it covered for light and sling mounts. Their MTR provides a removable light rail, two sling mounting loops, and is designed to fit into tight spaces on shotguns with 25mm magazines tubes – like the new 590M.
