Ballistic Radio T-Shirt to Benefit Family of Sonny Kim

Ballistic Radio, which I find to be one of the most salient, thoughtful, and entertaining voices in firearms/training media today, is raising money for the family of fallen Cincinnati police officer Sonny Kim by donating all proceeds from the sale of their official Ballistic Radio T-shirt.

The shirts are being sold for $30 via Booster.com. This is your chance to pick up a cool t-shirt and support a good cause.

KAC SR-550 Tactical Glue Gun

I am all for adhesive rights but… no one needs a glue gun like this! I mean, you can’t even glue colored construction paper with it.

knights SR-550 tactical glue gun

Knight’s Armament recently posted these images of their SR-550 Tactical Glue Gun on their company Facebook page. I got a big kick out of them and the description which read:

Our production team takes their job very seriously. So serious that they decided they needed to install a section of rail and offset sights on this glue gun as well. We are proud to introduce our new prototype, the SR-550 tactical glue gun; when the crafting project is the only thing that matters. This is the right tool for the job.

Well done Knight’s Armament. Well done.

Ares Armor and Dimitri Karras Working Toward Resolution

Ares Armor CEO Bryce Sterlin has posted a new letter in which he indicates that both he and Dimitri Karras are moving toward resolution and admits that there is still work to be done toward that goal.

Please allow me to extend my deepest apologies to the employees, management team of Ares Armor Inc., and to those of you who have felt a connection to us.  Yesterday, I violated your trust, by posting information about Dimitri Karras’ departure and our letter to him. I made a mistake, I let emotions get the better of me and I reacted in a manner that is not in line with the way that Ares Armor Inc. composes itself. I am sorry for my errors and I only hope you afford me the ability to regain the trust which we have built over the past seven months since I acquired Ares Armor Inc.

To Mr. Karras, I apologize for posting information publicly that should have remained private. Regardless of our differences and how we have clearly hurt one another – it gave me no right to disrespect you, for that I apologize.

When I met Dimitri and saw what his team built, it amazed me as I learned more about the incredible technology they developed, and the passion which fueled the company.  Since Dimitri wanted to sell the company, I believed my professional experience teamed with these great people could lift the company to greater success. I fell in love with Ares Armor. More importantly, I fell in love with its people, and everything this company has done for the veteran community and will continue to do.

In closing, Dimitri was invited to my office yesterday and although both of us are emotional and have not fully resolved our differences, we made some good headway.  Regardless, this should have never been put in a public forum, and I realize how wrong it was to the wonderful people of Ares Armor, Mr. Karras and our valued customers.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support for Ares Armor Inc.

Best regards,

Bryce Stirlen, CEO

Ares Armor, Inc.

Dimitri Karras stated via his Facebook page that this was a step in the right direction but also acknowledged that there was work to be done.

While this is a step in the right direction; actions speak louder than words.

I find it disturbing that while he has apologized for making things public, he does not remove his public statement from the website.

Dimitri Karras Answers

Dimitri Karras has supplied JTT with a PDF document that he states was sent to Ares Armor CEO Bryce Sterlin this morning. It is Karras’ assertion that the press release sent out by Sterlin this evening regarding Karras’ release from Ares Armor contains false statements and is in retaliation for this PDF document.

In the document, Karras claims that that Sterlin and Ares Armor are falsely attributing quotes, falsely portraying veteran status, breech promises made during the sale of Ares Armor, and more. Read the PDF document HERE.
