SIONICS Weapon Systems Working on New AR-15 Enhanced Mil-Spec Triggers

SIONICS Weapon Systems is hard at work creating what they call an Enhanced Mil-Spec Trigger. The goal is to create a trigger that is as bomb-proof as a standard trigger, has a mil-spec pull weight of around 6.5 pounds, but is smoother and more crisp than a typical mil-spec trigger.

The introductory price will be below $40 and the expected release date is September of this year! Stay tuned for details.

#MYLIFEMATTERS Glock Slide Plates from IWC

There are a lot of voices out there who want to tell you which lives matter. I tend to think all lives matter and the one that I have the most control over is my own. I carry a firearm to protect myself and loved ones from those whose actions contradict this. Judging by this new slide plate, IWC feels the same way…

Grey Ghost Precision Cornerstone AR-15 Lower

Grey Ghost Precision is now offering their own stripped AR-15 lower receiver. The cleverly named Cornerstone lower is a forged lower that is built to the same level of detail and tolerances as the billet lowers used on their Specter line of rifles. The lower is machined for a forging by Mega Arms to tighter than mil-spec tolerances.

GGPC-2

It has everything you expect from a quality lower like 7075-T6 aluminum construction and a hard anodized finish. It also has some features that go over and above like pictogram selector markings, a nylon-tipped upper to lower fit tensioning screw, and a flared magazine well.

Check out the new Cornerstone lower at GGP.

Aero Precision AC-15

Aero Precision just shook up the budget AR-15 market with the introduction of their $699 AC-15. This is Aero Precision’s first entry into the complete rifle market and they should be competitive right out of the gate with it’s affordable price and solid features.

Aero AC-15

At $699 (less with a coupon, see below), it is priced to take on carbines like the Ruger AR-556 and S&W M&P-15 Sport. From where I sit, the AC-15 appears to offer significant advantages over either including a better twist rate, standard parts, and a dust cover. This is a significant development for those looking to get into an AR-15 on a budget.

Use code SAVE10NOW to save 10% on the AC-15. That brings the price down to $629 shipped (free shipping on orders over $99).

Trijicon MRO Preview

Trijicon’s new MRO is going to make some serious waves in the red dot optic market if the rumors about it are true. Information sheets have been leaked from a number of a sources so, at this point, we know a lot about the physical attributes of the MRO. It boasts features like flush adjustment knobs, 6 visible light settings, 2 night vision settings, a 2 MOA reticle, and a large 25mm objective in spite of its compact size. It weighs just 4.1 ounces thanks to its 7075 aluminum housing. Perhaps most notable, is that the MRO will join a small and elite club of optic with 5 year battery life.

Rumors regarding availability indicate that it will hit the market around the end of the month. There has been contradictory rumors about the price with some saying it will have a $500 MSRP and some saying a $500 retail price. It will be competitively priced if either of the pricing rumors is true.

If all of the above isn’t enough to get you excited… This optic is made in Michigan, USA.
