MTG Beta Testing Program

Are you the type of person that has a keen sense of what makes a product good and what could make it even better? Do you take killer Instagram pics? Do you like early access and special pricing? If so, Megiddo Tactical Group‘s (MTG) Beta Testing program may be for you.

Here is how it works… When there is a new product that MTG is considering, they will send an email to their newsletter subscribers notifying them of a new beta testing opportunity. The opportunity is usually open for a short period like 12 hours or until enough testers have been brought on board. The product to be tested will be available exclusively to testers and at a discount. Once you purchase the product, the real work begins.

Beta testers are given an opportunity to provide feedback on the product, review the item for use on the product page after launch, and posts pictures/impressions on social media. Testers who provide especially valuable feedback will be placed on a beta testers only mailing list and receive increased access.

Just yesterday a beta test opportunity came and went for a new AIWB holster with Multicam Black wrap that MTG will be launching in a little more than a week (shown in the images in this post). These are the types of opportunities that will be available.

MTG gets a chance to receive real world feedback to improve their products (and a pre-launch marketing boost) and you get to try cool stuff at a reduced price before your buddies. Head over to the MTG Beta Testing page to sign up and keep track of current projects.

Patch Panel Moves Production In House

The Patch Panel is living the Americ… er, Canadian dream! Their business is growing and they a making moves to better meet the needs of their customers.

From Patch Panel:

Patch Panel announces move to complete in house production of customized Cordura patches, with enhanced offerings, and lead times.

In 2012, Patch Panel (WMI Sports Ltd.) began offering IR Name Tapes as an industry first. In time, this grew to call signs, name plates, unit patches, and now, their exclusive Identification Panels. Throughout this time, we went places we had never expected, including military unit, division, and regimental sized orders, as well as the opportunity to support many police units with roadside safety marking patches, as well as identification units.

Starting as a small company, we naturally did not have the resources to produce items entirely in house, and were forced to outsource parts of our production to save costs. This meant that the lead times just kept growing to weeks, and even months.

At the beginning of 2016, Patch Panel initiated the steps to move all production to our facility in Peterborough Ontario, where production quality could be controlled to exacting standards, and produced expediently by their Canadian Forces Veteran production team.

Today, we are happy to announce that long lead times are a thing of the past. Dropping from 10 weeks, to 10 days, and even an option to expedite to 2 business days. We are now able to provide the patches you need, in short order. All of these changes help us support our goals to generate more domestic manufacturing, as well as employ more veterans in our workforce.

Now Available – Scalarworks LDM/MRO

Lightweight optics deserve lightweight mounts and the Low Drag Mounts (LDM) from Scalarworks are the best I have used. Their mounts use a clever ratcheting wheel and detent system instead of a bulky lever to create a quick -detach, return-to-zero mount with a weight comparable to the lightest non-QD mounts available.

The LDM/MRO is now available. It features the same telescoping clamp, radically skeletonized design, and updated 7075-T6 construction as the Aimpoint Micro version of the LDM. The mounts weigh in at just 1.11 oz or 1.15 oz for the absolute and lower 1/3 co-witness models respectively.

Check out the LDM/MRO at Scalarworks.
