Rockwell Tactical Group RTG Pattern Targets Available from Law Enforcement Targets

RTG-1-and-RTG-2-pattern-targets

From Rockwell Tactical Group:

March 17th, 2016 – Rockwell Tactical (www.rockwelltactical.com) is pleased to announce that it has exclusively partnered with Law Enforcement Targets (www.letargets.com) to offer their widely popular RTG 1 and RTG 2 pattern targets for sale.
Designed and tested by US Army Special Forces weapons sergeants, these targets allow the shooter to engage threat sized silhouettes, as well as offering the shooter the ability to shoot shapes, colors, and numbers for target recognition and multiple target drills.
These targets are widely used in civilian training, and are also in use by US Army Special Forces to promote proper target recognition and transition.
Jared Ross, the owner and president of Rockwell Tactical, described the targets and their creation recently –
“We designed these targets to enhance our training regimen while on deployment, and wanted to make sure we engage both man sized silhouettes as well as use them for multiple target and target recognition drills.  Their layout is a big step beyond the traditional dot or silhouette target, and really offer a good value for the money with the ability to shoot multiple drills on the same target.”
The targets are now available in both patterns from the Law Enforcement Targets website (www.letargets.com), as well as Rockwell Tactical directly (www.rockwelltactical.com).

LDFA and Mega Slide Lock Combo from Forward Controls Design

Forward Controls Design’s LDFA, or Low Drag Forward Assist, is purposely designed to work well with ambi charging handles. It has no lip unlike a standard forward assist and this prevents the user’s finger tips from catching when operating the charging handle on that side. It makes sense that Forward Controls would offer the LDFA as a package with a ambi charging handle so they are now offering it bundled with the Mega Slide Lock.

Banshee Elite 2.0 Plate Carrier with Elite Cummerbund

The wait is over (almost). The Banshee Elite 2.o Plate Carrier is going into production this week and is now available for pre-order at a special introductory price.

Banshee 2 elite

This new version of the Banshee was first shown all the way back at SHOT Show 2015. This carrier features a new MOLLE compatible Hypalon shoulder strap treatment, new materials like spacer mesh backed plate pockets, camo/color matched webbing and Velcro, integrated admin storage, and a ton of built-in magazine storage in the cummerbund.

The new shoulder straps are slightly wider than those on the original Banshee but lay flatter. It boasts a ton of integrated storage compared to the original and it should breath better too with the addition of all the 3D mesh. You’ll also notice that there is vertical webbing in place for use with the industry standard Velocity Systems SwiftClip system for attachig chest rigs and panels. If you like the Banshee, you’ll like this even more.

You can read all of the details and pre-order at a special price at Shellback Tactical.

Paint Your Rifle the Blue Force Gear Way

It seems like everyone has a favorite way to paint rifles. I am partial to the method where I have no plan at all but it still manages to turn out okay. If you want to paint yours the way the folks at Blue Force Gear paint theirs, check this out.

GunfightersINC Spectre Shoulder Holster

GunfightersINC has been teasing the release of their new shoulder holster for several weeks. The Spectre is now available.

The Spectre Shoulder Holster is a classic design rendered in modern materials. It carries much like many classic shoulder holsters with the butt of the gun under the wearer’s support side arm but thanks to the inherent retention of molded kydex, secondary retention methods like thumb breaks are not necessary. This smooths the draw stroke and keeps bulk to a minimum.

This holster and harness have been designed to move with the wearer. GunfightersINC used pivoting buckles instead of standard side release buckles and built in elastic panels to allow the 4 point harness to flex as the wearer moves. G-Hooks are used to make attaching the Spectre to the belt both easy and secure.

The Spectre is very modular. It come standard with a holster on one side and a single magazine pouch on the other. However, these can be replaced with holsters for different handguns or other accessory carriers like a double mag pouch or even a silencer carrier. Swapping is easily accomplished by releasing 2 buckles.

The Spectre is available for purchase but the current handgun is limited. Limited may not be the right word since several popular handguns like Glocks, 1911s, the S&W Shield, and more are available including handguns with mounted lights. As production ramps up, more options will be available.

Check out the Spectre Shoulder Holster at GunfightersINC.

On a related note, I appreciate that GunfightersINC shows a proper shoulder holster draw stroke in their product images. It is far too easy to muzzle part of your arm when drawing from a shoulder holster and GunfightersINC gets it right by showing the support side arm in a high guard position (see image above).
