Review: TacPack March 2018 Box

The March 2018 TacPack is the best box in several months. Let’s crack it open and take a peek.

Hopefully you are familiar with the concept of TacPack by now. If not, you can read the reviews of the previous TacPacks for some background on this subscription box.

ReadyMan Training Lock – This blew me away. This training lock is basically a padlock constructed from clear plastic, allowing you to actually see how you are manipulating the lock with your picks. These are excellent lock bypass training aids. I have used them on several occasions but never owned one. This is one of the coolest inclusions to date.

Readyman also included one of their survival cards which are fun if you don’t already have a stack. If you do already have a stack, they make great gifts.

Mission First Tactical MLOK Sling Mount – We all have M-LOK and we all have slings. We can all use this. This is a great inclusion with broad utility and appeal.

MFT also included a 20% off coupon for their website which is a nice touch.

8″ Super Splatter Targets – There are great little targets and I will put this pack to good use in training my oldest child how to shoot. This is the second time TacPack has included Super Splatter Targets and I am glad to see them again. They are made in the USA and they work.

AR-15 GunBlocker – The GunBlocker isn’t necessarily something I will use often (or ever) but I have seen similar devices that weren’t as good as this one. First, it is made in the USA which I like. Second, this locks your AR four different ways – obstructs the chamber, obstructs the magazine well, locks the receivers together, and blocks the action. If you don’t have the key, you would really have to work to get this thing out of the gun. If you do have the key, it comes out extremely quickly.

If you want to try TacPack, you can check them out at TacPack.com. TacPack hints that the April box will contain some gloves and their favorite knife sample to date along with some other items.

Disclosure: I receive TacPacks, free of charge, for review.
