Details are sparse, of course, but these look like everything you would expect from Emerson with their textured black G-10 scales and sloping thumb ramp with jimping and Wave Opener.
For the life of me, I can’t see how a Wave would work on a butterfly knife.
I don’t think it is meant to be functional. It is more of a branding/design element here though I guess the back side works as a thumb ramp.
