This is two announcements in one. The first is that we have decided to move beyond just patches and stickers with the founding of JTT MFG LLC – a manufacturing division of Jerking the Trigger. We have a deep well of product ideas for the shooting and training markets and will be hustling to bring them to market.
This rifle, using the new LSFR Ultra-Light Barrel, weighs just 3 pounds.
The first of those products is designed to fill a hole that currently exists in the stagnating lightweight AR-15 market with the introduction of LSFR Ultra-Light Barrels. Typically, barrel manufacturers attempt to reduce weight by removing material, turning barrels thinner and thinner. We took a different approach. Rather than using outdated materials like 4150 steel or a 400 series stainless, we were able take weight savings to the extreme by rendering our LSFR Ultra-Light Barrels entirely from long strand fiber-reinforced polymer.
We are working with a US based OEM to produce what we believe will be the ultimate in lightweight barrels. Designed to be carried (and photographed) a lot and shot a little, our 16″ LSFR Ultra-Light Barrel with midlength gas system weighs just 4 ounces. That is a full pound lighter than even the lightest steel barrels. Additional benefits include increased corrosion resistance, reduced thermal conductivity, and a proprietary surface finish that ensures that the barrels will always look great on Instagram.
