AWS recently introduced their Light Assaulter Belt or LAB. The strength of this belt is its price and quality along with the unique way it can be purchased with all of the pouches you need as a turn-key system. I have not put hands on one but a good friend has and he is very pleased with it.
AWS has now announced that the LAB is available in a limited edition Kryptek Highlander colorway and that they have added new pouch options. They have also released a new image of the belt that shows several of the available colors and pouch options.
Thank you for recommending this belt setup. My experience was communication was just a bit lacking but the belt and system are very high quality and a good bargain. It is the most compfortable system I have ever worn.
Also, the first aid kit is a huge strength, it frees up space on the belt and puts something that is normally in the way, out of the way. I was able to fit a 4″ Israeli bandage, tk4 tourniquet, small homemade duct tape roll (fold rolled), an ar cleaning rod in sections ( I like having one but never found a good place on my belt) mini trauma shears and a pn asherman chest seal and decomp needle. This was a very tight fit but is a pretty extensive blowout kit. I think I have room for an np airway as well.

How thick is the outer belt? Maybe I missed where it was stated, looks around 2″
It is 2″.
My mistake. The inner belt is 2″. I believe the outer belt is 1 3/4″.
After poking around on their site for a bit it looks like the company has some pretty blatant copies of other companies designs. The LBT Blow Out Kit and Tyr’s Combat Adjustable Magazine Pouch are the two that caught my eye. Does anyone know if they are authorized to manufacture those designs or if they are re-branded LBT/Tyr? It doesn’t look like they could even argue that the designs are modified enough to fall outside of whatever patents the original mfgs might have.

Some the pouches designs your are taking about are NSN’S in this case any company can make these products; in some cases could be the same contract. These guys have been in business for over 40 years.

after poking LBT and Tyr site for a bit it looks like they have some pretty blatant copies of some of the early designs from AWS. Tyr tactical has the Zipper Back Panel (they called it Zip on) made by AWS early 2002 . LBT has the Safety Lanyards and patches designs made by AWS early 2000 , I guess we should do our homework before we write these negative comments.
