Strike Industries EMP

Strike Industries (SI) just unleashed an EMP. Don’t worry though, I’m not talking about the survivalist’s wet dream type of EMP. I’m talking about their new Extended Magazine Plate.

The SI EMP is a drop-in replacement for the standard baseplate on a Magpul Gen M2 PMAGs (a version for Gen M3 PMAGs is in the works). It adds 2 rounds of capacity, some additional gripping surface, and is designed to be a stable platform when using the magazine as a monopod.

The SI EMPs are available individually and in packs of 3.5_1_18

it’s always funny when a company charges you 10 cents to order a multi pack.

$10 a pop or three for $30? These things look promising, but are at least twice as expensive as they should be in my opinion. You can get three Magpul ranger plates for $14 or less (granted they don’t have +2 capacity). I’d consider ordering a few of these to try out if they were less money, but given that I can find 30-round pmags for under $10 fairly easily, I think I’d rather order a couple more magazines instead.

I agree with everything you said Tenn Texan. Well said. Why pay that much money when you can pay more 30 round pmags or a 40 round pmag. Good idea I just can’t justify the cost for an extra 2 rounds.
