DE-CAP-ATURTLE

So, uh… What in the world is a DE-CAP-ATURTLE? It’s a small, lightweight, multifunction keychain tool that can open a bottle or open a nasty gash over a bad guy’s eye.

The DE-CAP-ATURTLE is the brainchild of Chris Watkins who also happens to be the man behind GUNN-FIGHTER.com. It is designed to be a discreet self-defense tool that can be gripped with one of your fingers through the looped portion and used like a knuckle type impact tool. It has functions beyond face rearranging like light prying, lifting can tabs, bottle cap opening, and more.

Currently, Chris is hand making these from aluminum. Several of the handmade versions are currently available. He also has an crowd funding campaign going at Indiegogo to fund water-jet production of the aluminum DE-CAP-ATURTLE and some future titanium versions.

    Very cool. and fairly unobtrusive.
Looks like a decent addition to a key ring.
Any idea how sharp that end is? Wouldn’t want to cut myself reaching for my own keys.

It is more of a pry edge than a cutting edge.
