Rifle Dynamics M4 Stock Adapter by Impact Weapons Components

Travis Haley and his company Haley Strategic Partners have done a lot to promote networking and collaboration in the “tactical” industry though his Disruptive Industries courses (see Soldier Systems Daily and ITS Tactical for more info). One of the fruits of this collaboration is the new Rifle Dynamics M4 Stock Adapter that is being manufactured by Impact Weapons Components (IWC).

Impact Weapons Components is quickly establishing themselves as a top notch OEM manufacturer in addition to their own excellent MOUNT-N-SLOT product line. This stock adapter is something that Jim Fuller and Rifle Dynamics have wanted to bring to market for a long time. Earl Pittman of IWC was able to refine the design and deliver a part that was machined and anodized to IWC’s standards.

The adapter offers the somewhat unique feature of allowing the use of an AR-15 end plate. This opens up a lot different sling mounting options. Everything from the Magpul ASAP (as shown) to the Blue Force Gear Burnsed Loop should work with the adapter.

The Rifle Dynamics M4 Stock Adapter is available now from Rifle Dynamics. It is not on their website yet but will be shortly and can be ordered by phone. It is also available on ImpactWeaponsComponents.com. Remember to use the code “triggerjerk” for 5% off at ImpactWeaponsComponents.com.

    No ability to fold…
    Rifle Dynamics, I am disappoint.

I’m not disappointed. My mouth is getting moist just looking at the picture. I don’t want any of my longarms to fold. Just makes it that much more squirrely if I have ever need to get it runnin’ without notice. Of course the moment my life depends on my rifle is when it suddenly feels like it weighs 50lbs and my hands stumble around like I have socks on my hands.

Ian, to make the stock fold the gun would require a lot of perminate mods or extending the length of pull. We wanted a part that the average gun owner could install themselves with no hassels. In the future we have other ideas we are working on. Now that we have a quaility manufacturer like Earl Pittman and Impact Weapon Components working with us there will be many more things to come.

The CNC Warrior folder doesn’t require any mods to the gun and the LOP is only increased the length of the tang. Of course, it is about twice as expensive, so that’s a definite trade off.

Does the stock tang have to be hacked off, or does the adapter and stock fit over it?

Suburban, the tang does NOT have to be hacked off. It fits inside the adapter.

As a former NRA Law Enforcement Handgun/Shotgun Instructor I fell in love with the Blackhawk Knoxx Recoil reducing stock for my 870. At 5’7″ tall I love the adjustable stock idea and have a TAPCO Stock on my Ruger 10-22. The idea of a similar stock on an AK just seems like the way to go. I suspect I will have to do some thinking on the subject of plastic versus Aluminum but it is obvious the metal looks better!!! I may not be a big AR fan but that adjustable stock idea is neat!!

Everywhere I’ve checked they’re out of stock!!! Just such an AWESOME product, I’ll keep calling different distributor’s and wait till I can get one for my SGL 21…oh hell, two, my plum SGL 31 might need one down the road too! Just wish I would have bought a russian/Bulgarian side folding polymer stock to have Jim put one on my 5.45 31…and 7.62 21 if I coulda gotten two!! So glad I let Mr. Fuller convince me, and myself, how AWESOME the 5.45 platform (my AR’s have more recoil AND muzzle rise than my -74!) is after loving the 7.62/47 platform for so long! Wish I’d of bought TWO of each SGL’s while they were available so when R. Dynamics’ free’s up he can customize one of each for me..w/FOLDING POLY STOCKS!!!
